  • Global Roundtable on Comparative Crypto Litigation

Juridicum SEM 52 Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Vienna, Austria

As crypto-assets continue to reshape global financial markets, courts and regulators across jurisdic-tions are increasingly confronted with complex and novel disputes. This roundtable brings together renowned scholars from different jurisdictions to examine how different legal systems approach litigation involving crypto-assets, and to explore the challenges posed by decentralisation, cross-border transactions, and evolving regulatory frameworks. The discussion will offer comparative perspectives on key issues such as jurisdiction, applicable law, enforcement, and private law remedies. The session will be moderated by Professor Matthias Lehmann (University of Vienna). Designed to foster dialogue between academics, practitioners, and students, the event will provide a platform for critical reflection on emerging trends in crypto litigation and their implications for the future development of financial law. A light reception with food will follow, offering an opportunity for informal discussion and networking.
